When using the Genesis add-on on Kodi on my pc, I went to the settings to change the default download folder. By default it puts in in something like
I don't really like it saving stuff deep in the file tree for that specific plugin for that specific program. However when I tried to change it, it won't let me go any further back in the file tree than addon_data. I want to put stuff in a centralized folder with all the stuff from the other plugins and anywhere else. Is there any way to do this?
I also had a similar problem with this plugin on Kodi for Android. On android, it actually allowed me to back out of the convoluted file tree and select a folder on my extSD card. However when I downloaded a video, it was nowhere to be found. It showed the download progress and said it completed, but when I go to play the video with Kodi or anything else it shows the folder as empty. I realize this may have something to do with Android messing up apps access to the the ExtSD card since I've had similar problems with other apps, but it seems odd that it would show it downloading but have nothing there. As far as I can tell, it didn't put it in the default folder or anywhere else.
Also why would Genesis let me to the top of the file tree on android but not on PC?
